Fall of Several Kingdoms - Movie Poster

Here's a little birthday gift for Princesa-Daisy . I have decided to try my hand at making a poster in GIMP 2.0 for the sequel to the Super Mario Bros live-action/animated movie that I am writing called "Fall of Several Kingdoms".

If someday this movie of mine is made, it and its predecessor could open the door for an entire cinematic universe not unlike what Marvel and DC are up to with Disney and Warner Bros. This Nintendo Cinematic Universe could hopefully feature films from other Nintendo franchises in hybrids of live-action and both 2-D/3-D animation (whether by computer or stop-motion). Properties could include The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox, EarthBound, Wario, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Yoshi, Game & Watch, Pokémon, Animal Crossing and even Kid Icarus , with their ultimate crossovers happening in a film like Marvel's The Avengers but named Super Smash Bros.


Now on to the STORY:

Combining the stories of Donkey Kong Country, Paper Mario, Mario and Luigi, Wario Land, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Land, Super Mario 3D World, and Super Mario Sunshine with backstory material from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, Yoshi's Island DS and the original Donkey Kong arcade, Game & Watch and Nintendo Entertainment System/NES titles; we get to see the love child of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire playing out in the universe of Mario and company, as we see the second part of the REAL story of what happened on the Mushroom Planet after the events of the first movie.

As per the new era of peace between the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms, international trade is opening up across all the Mushroom Planet. Mario and Luigi are taken on vacation by Peach to the Western Isles and Undersea Worlds of the Western Sea (isles of Aquilamanta, Delfino, Granchio, Medusa, Pesce and Tartaruga; undersea worlds of Acqua, Cristallo, Gelo and Vapore), when they are called to help out the ambassador for Island of DK to settle trouble by the Kremling Kritters and King K. Rool. It is there that the boys find that Donkey Kong (Junior, the son of Donkey Kong Sr./Cranky Kong) is the ambassador, whom they have to earn forgiveness from for their fathers' actions.

While these things are going on, the Wario Bros arrive in Diamond City via a Warp Pipe after hearing the Mario Bros had popped in a little while ago to pick up some celebration presents for Peach and Daisy. It is there that they find a female pirate captain Maple Syrup is being forced to deliver Princess Shokora of the Golden Pyramid and Queen Merelda of the Shake Dimension to the wicked pirate captain known as the Shake King. Never ones to shy away from treasure, Wario and Waluigi convince Syrup to help them rescue the damsels in order to get some of their treasure as a reward. Peach then meets Daisy in Sarasaland to help fix a castle up when they and Yoshi find a scared Birdo.

All throughout our heroes adventures, there are rumblings of several villains being called by the croaks of a frog named King Wart. Shake King and K. Rool are using Shokora and Merelda to find the dream portal of Prince Dreambert to free Antasma, as well as find the Chaos Heart to summon the D Dimension being known as Dimentio. Offshoots from the Koopa Kingdom include Petey Piranha and King Boo who are willing to ally their peoples with anybody who will support their rebellion against the reformed Koopas. The seven villainous leaders are soon brought together in Wart's realm: Subcon/the Sprixie Kingdom, where he has captured Merelda's Merfles and the Sprixie Princesses.

After finishing settling a border dispute between Yoshi's Island and Boo Woods, Toad and Toadette pick up a trail left by King Boo that will lead them to a harbor where the Daisy Cruiser ocean liner awaits them. All of our heroes have all been picking up clues inadvertently left by the collection of villains called the One Assembly of Discord, and have led to them being united in their quests; a scavenger hunt if one will. Treasures left by the Shake Dimension and Golden Pyramid provided coordinates out on the ocean, while other items and power-ups told of an opening to another world. The Guardian of the Cosmos - Princess Rosalina/Rosetta arrives on the Comet Observatory to lead their way.

It turns out that the Assembly has been conspiring with the help of the Magikoopa Trio to set a trap and open the gates for even greater powers of evil to flow into & take over the Mushroom Galaxy. Our heroes (Mario & Luigi, Wario & Waluigi, Peach & Daisy, Rosalina/Rosetta & Syrup, Toad & Toadette, Yoshi & Birdo, Donkey & Diddy Kong, Candy & Dixie Kong, Bowser & his children) then arrive at the fortress to fight the forces of evil gathered in Subcon/the Sprixie Kingdom. When the battle seems to start going to the side of the One Assembly of Discord, royal sacrifices on the part of a Koopaling and the space princess Rosalina/Rosetta must be made in order to secure at least a Pyrrhic victory...
